Visit to Lombok Care Foundation

Inspired by this quote, the firm took it to heart and did some good while on our recent firm retreat to Lombok, Indonesia. We visited the LombokCare Foundation on 18th of May 2024, the first activity planned.
The LombokCare Foundation is a non-government organisation focused on the promotion and protection of rights of children with disabilities, providing services and supporting their participation in society. Given a tour by founder, Mindie Schreurs, we learned about what the foundation does to educate people and conducting outreach projects in the surrounding communities for early intervention for clubfoot and cleft lip which can be rectified. We then spent the rest of the morning interacting and playing games with the children. Joining in the activities like playing boccia, colouring with them and interacting with them, with the language barrier being a minor hurdle. We also sponsored a meal for them. Some of our staff went above and beyond, preparing goodie bags for all the children which included art supplies, snacks, candies and chocolates and we also donated toys and clothes.
It was a fulfilling and enriching visit to the LombokCare Foundation!
